The composition of UroPak-36: Cranberry berry extract 144 mg (36 mg of proanthocyanidin A) and corresponds to the daily dosage of proanthocyanidin, according to the Recommendations of the European Association of Urologists
Functional properties of UroPak-36: due to the physiological activity of biologically active substances that are part of the extract of large cranberry berries: proanthocyanidin A, flavonoids (flavonols, flavonones and their glycosides: quercetin, kaempferol, myrites); sugars; organic acids (benzoic, ursulic, quinic); tannins; vitamins: A, C, E, PP, group B; pectins; macro- and microelements: potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron.
Each UroPak-36 capsule contains 144 mg of cranberry extract, equivalent to 36 mg of proanthocyanidin A. Proanthocyanidins (PACs) are natural substances that cause damage to the bacterial membrane, preventing the growth and adhesion of bacteria on the urinary epithelium. Proanthocyanidin A, which is part of UroPak-36, prevents the reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms on the surface of the epithelium of the urinary tract. The ability of cranberry extract to block the adhesion of pathogenic microorganisms to the uroepithelium (mucous membranes of the urinary tract) affects not only E. coli, which causes about 90% of urinary tract infections, but also other common pathogens of urinary tract infections. This effect promotes rapid leaching of pathogens, preventing the colonization of the urinary system by microorganisms and, as a consequence, the development of inflammation.
One capsule of UroPak-36 contains 36 mg of PAC, which is a sufficient daily dosage, according to the Recommendations of the European Association of Urologists, 2011.
Biologically active substances that are part of UroPak-36, enhance the action of antibiotics and antiseptics used in urinary tract infections, prevent the development of recurrences of inflammation of the bladder (cystitis).
UroPak-36 also acidifies the urine, thus creating an unfavorable environment for the growth and reproduction of pathogenic bacteria. Increasing the acidity of urine also prevents the combination of calcium ions and phosphates involved in the formation of insoluble stones, thus preventing the development of urolithiasis.
UroPak-36 is recommended to normalize the functional state of the urinary system in acute and chronic inflammatory diseases (exacerbation of recurrent chronic bacterial cystitis, acute bacterial cystitis, pyelonephritis, nonspecific bacterial urethritis, asymptomatic and postpartum infections in bacterial infections. by counteracting the adhesion of microorganisms on the surface of the epithelium of the urinary tract and bacteriostatic properties of biologically active substances of cranberry extract.
Biologically active components of UroPak-36 help reduce the risk of urinary tract infections in people with recurrent urinary tract infections (including stressors, climate change, adverse hygiene conditions), postmenopause, diabetes, also in women who are sexually active and / or use mechanical contraceptives.
