The functional properties of the dietary supplement "Ixindol" are determined by the physiological activity of biologically active substances that are part of its active ingredients.

3,3′-diindolylmethane (3,3′-diindolylmethane, (DIM)) is a phytonutrient and plant indole found in cruciferous vegetables, including broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and cabbage, with potential antiandrogenic and antitumor activity. The potential effect of normalizing various conditions associated with hormonal imbalance, menopausal symptoms and certain forms of neoplasms is confirmed by a number of studies, so in one study 3,3′-diindolylmethane demonstrated chemopreventive activity at all stages of the development of breast neoplasms. And it has also been found to stimulate the production of a more "beneficial" form of estrogen known as 2-hydroxyestrone, which in turn helps reduce the effects of 16α-hydroxyestrone, which has been linked to weight gain and an increased risk of certain types of tumors, including breast cancer. and uterus. For example, a study in which 130 women with breast cancer participated and, respectively, received a placebo or 150 mg of 3,3′-diindolylmethane twice a day; during therapy with 3,3′-diindolylmethane demonstrated that its use led to a significant normalization of the ratio of two types of estrogen: 2-hydroxyestrone and 16α-hydroxyestrone.
In addition, 3,3′-diindolylmethane is consumed to reduce the symptoms of hot flashes during menopause and to alleviate the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), although its effectiveness needs further study.

Vitex agnus-castus fruit extract contains flavonoids, essential oils, diterpenes and glycosides. It was proven that flavonoids (casticin, quercetagetin, isovitexin) in vitro affect estrogen receptors and suppress the secretion and release of prolactin.
By reducing the level of the hormone prolactin, the extract of the fruit of the common barberry helps to restore the hormonal balance (estrogen and progesterone) and thus reduce the symptoms of PMS. The results of randomized controlled trials to date indicate the benefit of barberry fruit extract in reducing the severity of PMS, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and latent hyperprolactinemia.
In addition, the use of the extract of the fruits of the common barberry also helps to reduce cyclic mastalgia. Studies show that the extract can be just as effective as conventional drug treatment, but with far fewer side effects.

Green tea leaf extract (Camellia sinensis) contains polyphenols that have health benefits such as reducing inflammation and helping to fight cancer. It also contains a catechin called epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) - one of the most powerful compounds in green tea. Research has confirmed its ability to help with various diseases. It is known that oxidative damage can lead to chronic inflammation, which in turn can lead to chronic diseases, including neoplasms. Therefore, the natural antioxidants in green tea can help protect the body from oxidative damage.
Studies have also linked compounds in green tea to a reduced risk of breast cancer in women.

Lycopene is a pigment from the carotenoid family with antioxidant properties. In vitro studies show that lycopene can slow down the development of neoplasms in the mammary glands of women. It is also known to inhibit cell cycle proliferation in abnormal breast cells in women and insulin-like growth factor-I, which has been linked to an increased risk of breast cancer in premenopausal women.
